Courses can be taken face-to-face or online. The academic requirements for doing a degree part time versus full time are the same, but there are differences from a logistics perspective:
BS & BA:
All core courses are offered once a year either in the evening, on weekends, or online.
Students who are required to take remedial Computer Science, English, and Math courses should note that these courses are only offered during the day. If taking day courses does not work, prospective part-time students may want to complete these courses at another accredited institution.
Sufficient elective and general university requirement courses are offered in the evening, on weekends, or online.
Some computing electives, science, math, humanities, and social science courses are only offered during the day.
MS:
All required courses are offered at least once a year.
Required courses are also offered online. To learn more about our Online MSCS, click here.
Almost every elective course is also offered in the evenings, Saturdays, and/or online.
The average time to complete the degree on a part-time basis is about 3 years.
Students may take a leave of absence for up to 4 semesters.
The degree must be completed within 7 years.
PhD:

Not all required courses are offered online.
Many elective courses are offered in the evenings, Saturdays, and/or online.
