Amanda earned her Bachelor's Degree in Family and Child Studies as well as her Master’s Degree in Counseling with a concentration in Higher Education from Montclair State University. Prior to working at NJIT, Amanda was an Academic Advisor at UNC Charlotte for Pre-Health majors and an Academic Advisor and instructor at the University of South Carolina for Pre-Pharmacy students. She enjoys getting the opportunity to build relationships with her students during advisement and when she teaches.
Amanda enjoys spending time with her family, working out, spending time outside.
Michele earned her undergraduate degree in Management and Finance from the University at Albany. After working several years in the business sector, she opted for a change in her career path and began pursuing her M.A. in Counseling at Montclair State University. She found her passion for working with students in higher education while holding internships with MSU’s Educational Opportunity Fund office and here in YWCC.
Michele loves traveling, rock scrambling, swimming and spending time with her family.
Shannon earned her Bachelor's Degree in Psychology as well as her Masters Degree in Counseling from Montclair State University. Prior to working at NJIT, Shannon held various roles working with students at the University of Connecticut. She enjoys helping students to be the best version of themselves and supporting them to reach their goals.
Shannon enjoys hiking, kayaking, and traveling; in addition to spending time with family and friends.
Cathlene earned BA in Journalism from the University of Oregon and an MS College Student Services from Oregon State with a focus on working with at-risk/at-promise students. She served students and faculty as the Director of Queer Student Services at Portland State where she found her passion for academic advising.
Cathlene just moved to New Jersey in December 2021 from the west coast and enjoys exploring this new world with her 2 rad kids.
Doua earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology. After working in higher education for several years, she decided to go back to school and is currently pursuing her Master’s Degree in School Counseling at New Jersey City University. Her purpose is to guide and support students throughout their journey to success.
Doua enjoys biking, volunteering and spending time with family.
